The protection of your personal data is a particular concern of ours - not least because professional secrecy lies at the core of our profession (§ 80 WTBG 2017; § 9 RAO). We process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable statutory provisions (GDPR, DSG, TKG 2021).

2. General information

This website is deliberately designed to be data-frugal: it uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking services and generally loads content from its own server (fonts and background videos). A cookie banner is therefore not required.

YouTube video (two-click solution): An introductory video is embedded on the careers page. When the page loads, no connection is established to YouTube - only a locally stored preview image is displayed. Only when you actively click "Play" is the video loaded via youtube-nocookie.com (Google Ireland Ltd.) in the privacy-enhanced mode; this technically requires the transmission of connection data (e.g. your IP address) to YouTube (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR - consent through an active click). The privacy policy of Google then applies.

3. Hosting and server log files

When this website is accessed, the web server of our hosting provider automatically processes connection data (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser type) that are technically necessary for the delivery of the pages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). These log files are automatically deleted by the hosting provider in accordance with its applicable retention periods and are not merged with other data.

4. Contact and contact form

If you contact us by form, email or telephone, we process the data you provide (name, email address, telephone number, matter) in order to process your enquiry and for any follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR - pre-contractual measures, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Form data is transmitted to us exclusively by email and is not stored on the web server. We retain business correspondence in accordance with the statutory retention obligations (in particular § 132 BAO: 7 years).

5. Applications

Application documents you submit to us are processed to carry out the recruitment procedure (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If no employment relationship results, we delete the documents within seven months of the conclusion of the procedure, unless you consent to longer retention (talent pool).

6. Client portal

For encrypted collaboration with our clients, we use a client portal (bmdcom.beco.at). Data processing there takes place within the framework of the respective client relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, § 80 WTBG professional secrecy; § 9 RAO).

7. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption (https) to protect transmitted content against access by third parties.

8. Your rights

You generally have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15-21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, please contact office@beco.at.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
